Lumi, a global market leader in real-time audience engagement technology, has further enhanced its Event App with a range of new features to optimise the value of meetings and conferences for attendees and organisers alike. This latest release incorporates new ways for organisers to engage with attendees and for attendees to become more interactive during the event.
The Lumi app is a feature rich and highly customisable conference and event app which delivers all the information audiences, delegates and organisers need straight to the devices in their pocket. It leads the field with its real-time polling, instantly updating poll results on the handset and avoiding the need to wait until after the event to provide feedback to users. The build and running of the Event app is backed by Lumi’s renowned quality service and support. Available as a branded multi event app container, branded single event app or through the Lumi Show app with a choice of server hosting locations, clients can be sure of optimal performance and response times as well as satisfying any data security requirements.
New features are supplemented by original ways for organisers to theme the app, ensuring a strong brand presence throughout every meeting or conference. The new self-sign-in for open public events enable delegates to register themselves, allowing organisers to gather the widest possible attendee list for future reference. A ‘download all documents’ feature means all pre-event documentation can be downloaded using WiFi and then accessed offline on the plane, train or anywhere where 4G coverage is patchy.
To encourage engagement and provide further insight, attendees ‘Likes’ have been enhanced to cover sessions, speakers and exhibitors, building on the previous Photo Gallery capability. Organisers will be able to view these results on their dashboard, helping with future planning. The new release also offers more sophisticated methods of notifying attendees, providing customisable categories so organisers can efficiently reach specific groups of people with targeted messages or updates.
“As we showed in our recent white paper From the Peak to the Plateau: Event Apps After the Hype,
event apps have moved beyond the initial hype to become an accepted part of every event. However, this doesn’t mean that we intend to stop listening to our customers and enhancing Lumi’s Event Apps on an ongoing basis. We continually receive positive feedback about both the app and and our service around it and we believe these new upgrades will help further consolidate its success and make it an even more indispensable part of a meeting or conference in the future,” says Simon Officer, Product Manager, Lumi Event Apps.
